I grew up in an Air Force Family from Bellingham, Washington. After three decades working in law enforcement, I retired and moved to Gearhart. My husband’s family has been in the area for three quarters of a century. We wanted to be close to family and the beach. Living in Gearhart is my dream come true.

I was appointed to the Gearhart City Council in July. I am running for election in November because we need to set aside old arguments and work together to find our way forward after the failure of the police and fire bond. Modern regulations make this particularly challenging. I want to ensure a realistic plan is developed with community input. I want to manage it appropriately to save tax payers’ money. 

I believe following the city’s comprehensive plan is the key to meeting our future needs without losing everything that is so wonderful about Gearhart.

I believe we need to attack the issues, not each other.
